NAM BA (English) FAQs
Ques. Is the BA (English) degree from Nimbus Academy of Management, Dehradun valid for government jobs and higher studies?
Ans. Yes, the BA (English) degree from NAM is fully valid for government jobs and higher studies as it is affiliated to Uttarakhand Technical University (UTU), which is a state university recognised by the UGC. Graduates can apply for state and central government jobs requiring a BA degree, pursue MA (English) or other postgraduate programmes, appear for competitive exams like UPSC/UKPSC, and apply for B.Ed programmes for a teaching career.
Ques. What subjects are covered in the BA (English) programme at NAM, and what career options does it open?
Ans. The BA (English) programme covers English literature, language, communication skills, and allied humanities subjects. Students also study combination subjects such as Hindi, Political Science, History, or Sociology depending on the subject combination chosen. Ques. Does Nimbus Academy of Management offer hostel facilities for BA students?

Students can also stay in the hostel during summer and winter vacations. The hostel facility is available subject to availability, and students should confirm availability at the time of admission. Hostel fees are separate from the course fees mentioned above.
Ques. What is the fee payment schedule at NAM, and is there any penalty for late payment?
Ans. The fee at NAM is payable in two instalments. The first instalment (70% of the annual fee) must be paid at the time of admission or before the start of Semester I classes. The second instalment (remaining 30%) must be paid by November 30 of the academic year. A late payment penalty of Rs. 50 per day is imposed after November 30. Fee can be paid via Cash, NEFT, or DD in favour of "Doon Educational Trust Society." Cheque payments are not accepted.
Ques. Can students from Science or Commerce background apply for BA (English) at NAM?
Ans. Yes, students from any stream (Arts, Science, or Commerce) who have passed 10+2 with a minimum of 45% aggregate marks (40% for reserved categories) are eligible to apply for BA (English) at NAM. There is no stream-specific restriction for BA admission. This makes it accessible for students who wish to switch to humanities after completing their 12th in Science or Commerce.

Ans. While NAM is primarily known for its management programmes (BBA, MBA), the college does have a placement cell that supports all students including BA graduates.
