Final semester students have the opportunity to participate in campus interviews, with a variety of companies recruiting across most departments. However, there are fewer companies visiting for microbiology and biotechnology students. Notable companies that have participated in recruitment include Ithayam Frozen Foods, Mathi Hospital, Meenakshi Labs, and Bioplus. The average salary offered to students generally falls between 2.15 and 3 lakhs per year. Internship opportunities are primarily available in nearby areas, with institutions like DRDO, DLRI, and AIIMA Madras Medical College offering positions.

Current departmental projects focus on areas such as pulmonary cancer treatment, clinical waste management, controlling and preventing multidrug-resistant bacteria, and advancing Spirulina production methods.
