MCC through my Eyes!

The most promising factor i liked about Mount Carmel College is the people here are so friendly and welcoming be it yhe senior the helping staffs or the teachers. They are always open to help us and provide solutions to our problems.
The next and important thing is the arrangements of the smart boards in every class rooms. This particular technology helps us a lot with our studies provided we could present PPT or use the word or excel whenever need, also watch educational videos.
The last us the fests conducted in our college. Ofcourse MCC is famous for hoisting fests all over the year. This provides us great opportunity to express ourselves, our talents and open up to new and different people. This provides self confidence.

Dislikes

The one thing that i did not like about our college is it does not have a big area in terms of fields and gardens. It does have many trees and plants but the field part is missing that is not attached to the college and at a kilometer distant from it
The next thing is our college do not provide time tables and holiday details in advance to the students. Its always circulated at the end moment due to which there are a lot of problems faced by the outstation students to book the tickets.
The thing regarding placement here i don't like is you cannot sit for placement for another company once you get placed. There is no option opened. Either you have to go out of the process and submit a fine or take up the job which is not correct.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The most specific aspesct was that it was BBA Regular and no other specializing and we could choose the specialisation in the final year when we have gained enough know about the subject and are good enough to make a decision. The curriculum really helps us learning the outside world rather than only bookish knowledge. We are given case studies to solve, role play to enact a situation and are take to Industrial visits to see and understand how the real world is going on and to take a gasp of it. The y could include more practical subjects instead of theory in some terms. The exams taken are good enough and we get enough time to study and the question pattern everything are discussed beforehand with the teachers.

I'm in my third year of college and the placements just begins in the third year so I'm not qualified to tell you the exact average annual package. But from what I have observed and heard from my seniors, companies with good package do come to college. The year I joined, a student bagged a job opportunity with the annual package of 21 LPA

Internship opportunities..exposure..clubs ... teaching methods and faculty
Turning into a university soon which is great interms of going abroad later

Dislikes

Mentors giving last minute information making it difficult for students to follow up and then blamed on students

Placement Experience:

We do have amazing placements and the big 5 as well . The placement process however is not clear . Even as a first year id love to understand whats in store . If you address 2000 children at once . Nobody is going to comprehend anything.

Faculty way of teaching and case based learning
Placement and internship opportunities is given to every student.
Clubs and associations gives state level as well as national level opportunities to every student

Placement Experience:

The average package is around 4.5 lakhs. The placement cell is very helpful and professional. They train each and every student before the process of placement starts. Eligibility is from 4 semesters. The companies visited are around 200+. The highest package is around 10 lakhs 100% placements.

Mounts - The facts

Likes

The cleanliness was very impressive. And the atmosphere of the campus was very lively.
The cafeteria has great food and looks vibrant. The prices are also affordable.
The people in college gave a friendly vibe as well.

Dislikes

The faculty is not as great at teaching as they should be
The management always gives late information
The planning by management is very poor .

Placement Experience:

The placements are fine for undergraduate students. A lot of companies come for internships as well and offer pre-placement offers to the students. The placement cell informs and keeps us updated regarding the opportunities available. The highest package for our course was 13 lpa and the average remains 3-4 lpa

The factors that drove me to take admission in this prestigious college are *Faculty - the faculty here is the most friendly staff I have ever seen. The teachers though strict make you feel at ease. The teaching here is excellent as well. *Students - to be honest, if you are someone looking for fun along with studies this is the best place. The fellow students here are really friendly and cool people. The seniors here are very sweet and helpful too. ( NO RAGGING AT ALL) *Fests- we all have imagined college life to be filled with fun and enjoyment, and here, at MCC that is a given. This has so far been my most fun academic years. There is something fun every week.

The college grooms our personality and prepares us for the competitive world. It empowers girls from all caste and religion. There are many fests and events conducted. Mount Carmel College is known for providing quality integral education and for focusing on holistic development. These ideologies resonate with me as i like to balance between my academics and co-curricular activities while having the exposure of a greater group of peers to learn from. MCC has Achieved A grade and awarded five stars by NAAC and been Recognized College by UGC. its great infrastructure is a motivational factor along with its highly credited professor's like Dr. S Rajkumar.

What is your review of Mount Carmel College Bangalore?

Mount Carmel College is one of the finest in Bangalore. It has received star college award for the science department. The campus has a great student crowd with fantastic energy.

The college has good infrastructure. Every class has a hybrid board for presentation. The campus has a lot of uncluttered spaces to socialize and study. The sports facilities are pretty good as well. The basketball and the fields are well-maintained. The campus also has a well-equipped gym.

The professors are well-qualified and helpful. The undergraduate courses taught at the college have a decent balance between theoretical and practical subjects.

Mount Carmel College placements are pretty good. In the recent placement, the median CTC offered to students was INR 3 LPA. The number of companies visiting the campus is increasing each year. Big MNCs like Wipro, Dell, E&Y, JP Morgan, etc. visit the campus drive.

I have a few friends from Mount Carmel College Bangalore. Their experience at the college has been quite good. Here are some snippets of their experience at the college.

Placements: Many reputed companies visit the college to recruit students. In the recent placement drive, the average and highest CTC offered at the institute was 2.95 LPA and 7 LPA. The placement cell also conducts placement training for the students, before the placement drive.
Facilities: The laboratory facilities offered at the institute are quite good. The 1st floor of the LSCB block has all the science labs. The computer labs use all the modern technologies.
Course Curriculum: The course curriculum followed for B.Com is quite good. Teachers use live examples to teach.
Fest: MCC organizes many fests. CulAh is quite reputed in Bangalore.

Overall, doing B.Com from Mount Carmel College is a good option.
