Odisha University of Technology and Research offers admissions for a range of undergraduate and postgraduate technical courses. The university has 8 departments that offer over 14 specialisations under the flagship B. Tech program, along with B. Arch., B. Plan, and numerous M. Tech. specialisations, integrated B.Sc. + M.Sc., MCA, and MBA. The university has an admission process based on the rank obtained in centralised government exams, including OJEE and JEE Mains.
Since OUTR offers over 63 courses, the fee ranges are widely spread. The flagship B.Tech. Electrical Engineering fee is INR 1.36 Lakhs for the 4 years of the program, while B. Tech. (Lateral) Computer Science and Engineering is INR 1.78 Lakhs for 3 years. There are no direct admissions or admissions on a Management Quota; however, fee concessions are in place for those from reserved minorities.
OUTR offers 2 major merit-based scholarships, along with an additional financial aid program to the top 20% of academic performers. OUTR Application Process 2025
OUTR has a singular admission procedure to admit students into all its UG and PG courses. There are no provisions for direct admission or a Management Quota. Interested candidates are supposed to appear for the OJEE and JEE Mains examinations, and upon qualification, take part in the OJEE Counselling.
The students must conclude the counselling by filling in a choice of colleges, with OUTR being their top choice. Once selected, the students proceed with the payment of the fee to the university and submit all required documents to finally get a spot in their desired course.
OUTR Scholarships 2025
OUTR offers three merit-based scholarships to students. These scholarships provide various cash compensations. The Central and Foreign Affairs Scholarship (CAFAS) and the OUTR Merit Scholarship award INR 10,000 per year to qualifying students. There is a scholarship available for children of ex-servicemen and widows, making it a need-cum-merit based scholarship. Ans. OUTR has no direct application process, so there is no admission fee. The application fees are for the entrance exams—OJEE and JEE Mains. Upon selection to the university, the students must proceed with paying their course fees.
