The admission process for the U.G Physics Hons course at this government college begins with filling out an admission form after the release of 12th-grade results. A merit list is published on the college website, and students whose names appear can proceed with the admission process the next day. The faculty, including the Head of the Department, is praised for being excellent, supportive, and friendly, aiding students in completing their syllabus and resolving doubts.

However, the college recently increased its fees significantly due to a new semester system, which has posed a financial challenge for many students, despite the general expectation of lower fees at government colleges. Currently, there are no job placement or internship opportunities for B.Sc Hons Physics students, as government colleges are unable to directly facilitate these. Nonetheless, the college supports students in accessing the Kanyasree Yojna scholarship, which provides a 25,000 cash scholarship for eligible unmarried girls, although the program itself is not initiated by the college.
