Admission to the college can be obtained through a management quota or reserved seats for the Nair community, facilitated by the Nair Service Society, for those meeting academic requirements. The college, an aided institution led by the principal, boasts an eco-friendly environment and a student body with more girls than boys. The teaching staff is supportive, handling student queries effectively. The introduction of the FYUGP program has made exams more challenging, with seniors finding them moderately difficult.

Two semesters occur each year. Although the fee structure is not pricey compared to other colleges, it can be burdensome for economically disadvantaged students, as there are no fee concessions for forward community students.
