KASC M.Phil. Biotechnology Admission 2026-27
Admissions to the M.Phil. (Biotechnology) programme at KASC are conducted once a year, typically in July-August, following the publication of PG (M.Sc.) results by Bharathiar University. Admission is through NET/INSPIRE qualification or through the Bharathiar University Common Entrance Test (CET) followed by an interview. Admission to M.Phil. (Biotechnology) at KASC is through NET/INSPIRE qualification or Bharathiar University CET followed by an interview. TANCET scores may also be considered. Candidates are advised to check the official college notification for the exact process.

Eligibility Criteria:
- Candidates must hold a Master's degree of Bharathiar University in Biotechnology or a related discipline (such as M.Sc. Biochemistry, Microbiology, Zoology, Botany, Chemistry, or B.Tech Biotechnology) or any equivalent qualification recognised by Bharathiar University.
- The candidate must have completed a PG degree with a total of 17 years of study (10+2+3+2 or equivalent pattern).
- A minimum of 55% aggregate marks in the qualifying PG degree is generally required (50% for SC/ST candidates as per Bharathiar University norms).
Admission Process:
- Obtain the application form from the college office or download it from the official website (kongunaducollege.ac.in).
- Submit the filled-in application along with attested copies of required certificates (mark sheets, degree certificate, community certificate, NET/INSPIRE certificate if applicable, etc.) and the application fee (Rs. 60 for General; Rs. 2 for SC/SCA/ST).
- Appear for the Bharathiar University Common Entrance Test (CET) if not NET/INSPIRE qualified.
- Attend the interview conducted by the department.
- Selection is based on CET/NET/INSPIRE marks and interview performance.
- Pay the course fee and complete the admission formalities upon selection.
