SRKR Admission Dates 2026

Admissions for the 2026-27 batch have concluded. The B.Tech 2026-30 intake was filled through APEAPCET 2026 counselling and institutional management quota allotments in July to September 2026. The 2027-28 admission cycle is expected to open when APEAPCET 2027 registration begins around March 2027.

The tentative schedule for the 2027-28 cycle follows the same annual pattern, with APEAPCET 2027 registration expected in March 2027, exam in May, and counselling from July 2027.

SRKR Courses and Fees

SRKR offers 13 B.Tech specialisations across engineering and computer science streams, plus lateral-entry B.Tech, M.Tech, BBA, and PhD programmes. B.Tech fees are uniform across all branches at INR 4,20,000 for the four-year programme.

The B.Tech programme covers traditional engineering disciplines (Civil, Mechanical, EEE) alongside high-demand computing streams. The CSE department alone has a B.Tech intake of 300 seats, reflecting the college’s emphasis on computing and technology education. Newer specialisations in AI/ML, Data Science, IoT and Cyber Security, and Computer Science and Business Systems have been added to meet current industry demand.

SRKR Admission Process

Admission to B.Tech at SRKR is primarily through APEAPCET (Andhra Pradesh Engineering, Agriculture and Pharmacy Common Entrance Test). Management quota seats are filled institutionally, with JEE Main scores also considered. The autonomous status means SRKR conducts its own internal examinations, though academic regulations follow JNTUK norms.

B.Tech (Regular)

State quota seats are allocated through APSCHE counselling based on APEAPCET rank. Management quota seats are filled by SRKR based on JEE Main score or APEAPCET rank. Admission stages include APEAPCET rank submission, web counselling (certificate verification), choice filling, allotment, and reporting at the college.

• Eligibility: Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, minimum 45% aggregate for General category
• Qualifying exam: APEAPCET (mandatory for AP state quota)
• Documents required at reporting: Class 10 and 12 certificates, APEAPCET scorecard, category certificate (if applicable), transfer certificate

B.Tech Lateral Entry

Diploma holders in the relevant engineering discipline are eligible for lateral entry into the second year of B.Tech. Selection is through the AP ECET (Engineering Common Entrance Test). Working engineers with relevant qualifications may also be considered for select branches.

M.Tech

M.Tech admission is through GATE score or AP PGECET. GATE-qualified candidates may also be eligible for AICTE-sponsored student scholarships. Eligibility is B.Tech in the relevant or closely allied branch with minimum 50% marks.

SRKR Placements

SRKR placement activity is driven by its CSE and ECE departments. The 2023-24 placement season saw 735 students placed out of 1,320 eligible, a placement rate of 55.68 percent. The highest package in 2023-24 was INR 18 LPA (Data Insights) and the average package was INR 4.5 LPA.

Core recruiters confirmed across recent placement seasons include Infosys, TCS, Cognizant, Tech Mahindra, Wipro, and Amazon at the IT services level. Mid-tier offer holders include Darwinbox (INR 16.3 LPA) and Intel (INR 10.4 LPA). The placement cell runs pre-placement training in aptitude, coding, and communication from the third year onwards. Most placements are concentrated in CSE, ECE, and IT branches.

SRKR Rankings

SRKR holds NAAC A+ accreditation (2023) and NBA accreditation for six B.Tech programmes, and appears in both NIRF and The Week engineering rankings. It is among the top-ranked private engineering colleges in Andhra Pradesh.

The NIRF Engineering band of 251-300 has been consistent across multiple years, reflecting solid but mid-tier national positioning. The NAAC A+ grade (2023) is a strong accreditation benchmark for a private engineering college in the AP coastal region, distinguishing SRKR from colleges with B or B+ grades in the same geography.

SRKR Campus and Infrastructure

SRKR campus is located in Bhimavaram city, the commercial and administrative hub of West Godavari district in coastal Andhra Pradesh. The campus houses separate teaching blocks for each department alongside centralised facilities including library, computing labs, and placement training centres.

The CSE department is among the largest in the college, with a B.Tech intake of 300 students per year. The campus supports multiple advanced computing and electronics laboratories, skills-training and placement preparation cells, and internet-connected project labs for final-year research work.

Hostel facilities are available for outstation students. The campus location in Bhimavaram provides good connectivity to Vijayawada (175 km), Vishakhapatnam (200 km), and Rajahmundry (120 km) via road and rail routes, making it accessible to students from across coastal Andhra Pradesh.

SRKR vs Sir C.R. Reddy College of Engineering vs Vignan Lara Institute of Technology

SRKR, Sir C.R. Reddy College of Engineering (CRR, Eluru), and Vignan Lara Institute of Technology and Science (VLITS, Rajam) are three NAAC-accredited private autonomous engineering colleges in coastal and northern Andhra Pradesh, all admitting students through APEAPCET.

SRKR leads the three on NAAC grade (A+ vs A) and NIRF Engineering band visibility. CRR is a strong local competitor, also established in 1980 and located in the same West Godavari district, with a similar academic track record. VLITS in Rajam serves students from the Srikakulam and northern AP belt. Aspirants from West Godavari typically compare SRKR and CRR based on branch availability and specific APEAPCET rank ranges, since both offer comparable infrastructure and admission pathways.
