Course Details
Kongu Engineering College offers admission to 11 different specializations under B.E./ B.Tech courses. The total intake of candidates in B.E. is 240 and B.Tech is 120 seats. The minimum eligibility criterion to apply for these courses requires the candidates to have passed 10+2 with 50% marks in PCM/ Computer Science/ Biology/ Biotechnology. The candidates are selected on a merit basis or through TNAE.

- The candidates applying under the OBC category are given a relaxation 5% to the total aggregate score of qualifying exam, while the SC/ ST/ MBC/ DNC candidates enjoy a relaxation of up to 10%.
- Candidates with 8th to 12th standard study from Tamil Nadu are eligible to apply for TNEA 2019 without a residential/ native certificate.
- The minimum age to apply for B.E./ B.Tech is 17 years.

ENTRANCE PREVIEW -Counselling, mark based, from +2 , Anna University will conduct counseling for admission to UG engineering programmes at participating universities tentatively in the last week of June. fee structure of the college is bit costly as costs upto 1.5 lakh per sem and this is for tution alone and for hostel and buses in cost around 20 thousand for bus fee and 80 thousand for fee hostel The college provides scholarships from government and also provides their own trust scholarships The placement opportunities is better with the avg salary package ranges from 4.5 lakh to 5 lakh

- i liked culturals conducted by our college, named "enthusia", which is happening for Two days along with womens day, so we care enjoying for three days continuously without rest. And have a intracollege dance competition was introduced by oursenior

In our college, For cutoff students and based on yearly basis CGPA, students can get scholarship to some percent. High marked students from various schools may receive around 75% of scholarship amount.

My course fees are 42,500 per year as per government norms and my college fees are not hiked because I am selected via merit. My college provides good placement to all students. I am also selected in tech Mahindra and I am working as a data analyst with six months of experience.

Faculties are friendly and you will have a mentor throughout the course. They will be guiding throughout the 4 years including placements, projects, seminar, paper presentations and academics. If you are weak in academics, the respective subject teacher will conduct special classes for you.

There are nearly 30 teaching and 15 non-teaching faculties in our department. They will be experienced and friendly to the students. If you excel in academics, you will get scholarships from the management too. Industrial visit also there to get industrial exposure.
