Admission to Joginapally B R Engineering College is primarily through the TS EAMCET rank, a state-level entrance exam in Telangana, with seat allocation via a counseling process. There are also management (B category) seats which require payment. The faculty is highly qualified, with most holding M.Tech and Ph.D. degrees, providing personalized attention due to a favorable faculty-to-student ratio. The fee structure varies: the standard fee is 37,000 INR per year, with potential fee reimbursements available.
An NRI quota costs 8 lakh INR for the entire program. Additional expenses include a JNTU fee of 2,500 INR, library and game fees, totaling roughly 71,000 INR annually, with an optional bus facility costing an extra 20,000 INR. Government support covers more than half of the fees, making them feasible. The college has improved its placement opportunities since 2013, with around 35 companies like Amazon, Infosys, and Wipro recruiting students.
However, structured internship programs are lacking. Students often complete projects with organizations like BHEL and DRDO, and fourth-year students are eligible for campus interviews. Certificates for on-campus internships are provided, enhancing resumes. No specific college scholarships are offered, but students can benefit from government fee reimbursements and scholarships. For eligible students, the Telangana government provides an annual fee reimbursement of 35,000 INR. The total cost through EAMCET is estimated at 2.1 to 2.2 lakhs INR, whereas it can reach 3.8 to 6 lakhs INR, including donations, for those joining without EAMCET.
Muslim minority students are exempt from fees. Students may also seek bank loans for financial assistance.
