BM Group of Institutions B.Pharm Lateral Entry FAQs
Ques. What is the eligibility for B.Pharm lateral entry at BMGI?
Ans. Applicants must hold a D.Pharm from a PCI-approved institution with at least 45 per cent aggregate marks (40 per cent for SC/ST). They must also hold a valid State Pharmacy Council registration. D.Pharm is the mandatory qualifying qualification; 10+2 alone does not make a candidate eligible for lateral entry.
Ques. Is there an entrance exam for B.Pharm lateral entry at BMGI?
Ans. No separate state-level entrance exam is required. Admission is merit-based on D.Pharm aggregate marks, and BMGI prepares a merit list accordingly. Management-quota seats may be available directly through the college. Contact the admissions office at 9217371994 for the current selection schedule.
Ques. What is the total fee for B.Pharm lateral entry at BMGI?
Ans. The total fee for the three-year programme is INR 2,70,000, payable at INR 90,000 per year. This is based on the published per-year rate for the B.Pharm programme. Confirm the exact fee with the admissions office before enrolment, as fees can be revised before each new session starts.
Ques. Can I appear for GPAT after completing B.Pharm lateral entry at BMGI?
Ans. Yes. A B.Pharm degree obtained through lateral entry carries the same standing as the regular four-year B.Pharm for all purposes, including GPAT eligibility. Clearing GPAT opens M.Pharm admission at universities across India as well as regulated industry roles in the pharmaceutical sector.
Ques. How many years does pharmacy education take via the D.Pharm plus lateral B.Pharm route?
Ans. D.Pharm holders admitted to the second year of B.Pharm at BMGI complete the remaining three years. Combined with the two years of D.Pharm already completed, the total pharmacy education span is five years. The lateral entry route is recognised by PCI for licensure and higher-study purposes.
