- Masters of Engineering in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Manitoba is offered as a 2-years program.
- The Master of Engineering (MEng) is a terminal degree that combines coursework and an engineering project, and does not provide access to a PhD program.
- Most electrical and computer engineers are employed by manufacturers of electrical and electronic equipment, computer hardware and software, aircraft, automobiles, business machines, and professional and scientific equipment.
- MEng students must complete a minimum of 24 credit hours of coursework, including a minimum of 9 credit hours at or above the 7000 level from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and an advisor-approved engineering project and proposal.
- The effort involved in this project should be at least the equivalent of 6 credit hours of coursework.
- Duration of the course is two years.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- Students have to complete a bachelor’s honors degree in civil engineering or a highly related discipline.
- GPA of at least 3.0/4 (B grade) in the last 2 years of study is required to be eligible for this program.
- Students must be qualified in IELTS or TOEFL and PTE to get admission to this program.
Indian Student Eligibility:
Indian students are eligible to apply if they meet one of the following eligibility criteria:
- Completed a 4-year UG degree with first class in a relevant field from a recognized institution
- Or, completed graduation in B.Sc.(H) Computer Science or B.Sc. Applied Physical Sciences with Mathematics and Computer Science.
- Or, completed a B.Sc (General) degree from a recognized institution.
Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test.

The electrical and computer engineering master's programs accept applications for Fall, Winter and Summer admission. Applications are submitted online and must include the following before they will be reviewed by the admissions committee:
- $100 application fee (non-refundable)
- Uploaded copies of transcripts from all post-secondary institutions attended
- Two letters of recommendation
- A letter (email confirmation is acceptable) of an agreement with a faculty member who has agreed to serve as your advisor
- Proof of English language proficiency, if required
