Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Academic Eligibility:

  • Applicants must hold a Bachelor's degree consisting of 18 credits of core courses in specific Psychology domains and 24 credits in related disciplines in the social sciences.
  • A GPA of 3.2 out of 4.0 is required to apply for this program, i.e. 75%, is required, though successful applicants typically have CGPAs that exceed this minimum.

Indian Student Eligibility:

  • Candidates should hold a B.A., or equivalent in a discipline relevant to the proposed field of study. from institutions with a NAAC rating of “A”.
  • The university degree, described above, must have been completed with a minimum GPA required is 3.3/4.0 or the equivalent.
  • Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test.

The personal statement should briefly describe your previous experience (research, educational, extracurricular, work), career goals, and any special circumstances that should be taken into consideration for your application.
  • Three Reference Letter:  Students will choose letter writers who will be able to comment on their academic record and other experiences or relevant skill sets. 
  • CV/Resume:  including a summary of your academic background, professional experience, and other relevant activities (e.g., community involvement, volunteer work, etc.).
  • Academic documents.
  • English Language Requirement Scores like TOEFLIELTS, etc.

What are the chances of getting admitted with 3 years Bachelor degree?

A four-year bachelor’s degree is typically required to apply for graduate admission at McGill University. However, the university also somtimes accepts applications from students who have completed a three-year bachelor’s degree on a case-by-case basis. However, meeting the minimum admission requirements does not guarantee admission to the program, as admission decisions are highly competitive and based on a holistic review of each students’s credentials.
