  • The course of studies consists of four seminar courses in architectural history and theory, a seminar course in critical writing, a project preparation course, one elective course, and a final project. 
  • The Master of Architecture offers advanced training in the critical, historical, and theoretical analysis of:
    • History of Architecture
    • Science and Technology in Design
    • Aesthetic Philosophy
    • Professional Architecture
  • The M.Arch. (Post-professional) the degree is not a professional degree and does not satisfy the requirements for certification with the CACB.
  • Each student is assigned a faculty adviser in the second term and follows a research-intensive curriculum shaped by complementary and elective courses chosen in consultation with, and approved by, the adviser.
  •  It is particularly suited to students with a professional background in architecture who want to explore and understand the complex connections between history, theory, and design.

What are the chances of getting admitted with 3 years Bachelor degree?

A four-year bachelor’s degree is typically required to apply for graduate admission at McGill University. However, the university also somtimes accepts applications from students who have completed a three-year bachelor’s degree on a case-by-case basis. However, meeting the minimum admission requirements does not guarantee admission to the program, as admission decisions are highly competitive and based on a holistic review of each students’s credentials.
