Sustaining energy production and use is becoming increasingly challenging and requires innovative research into new and existing technologies, changes in consumer behavior and more creative policy and regulatory approaches. The graduate program in sustainable energy addresses these crucial challenges in a unique interdisciplinary fashion that involves both engineering and public policy.
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- Students must have a 4-year bachelor’s degree in a related field from a recognized institution.
- GPA of at least 3.0/4.33 (B grade) which is the equivalent of 8.0/12 on Carleton’s scale is required to be eligible for the program.
Indian Student Eligibility:
Indian students are eligible to apply if they meet one of the following eligibility criteria:
- Completed both a Bachelor’s (3 years) degree and a Master’s degree.
- Or, completed a Bachelor’s degree requiring 4 years of study (e.g., B.Pharm., M.B.B.S, or B.Arch).
- Or, obtain a first-class division (75% or above, Distinction or Outstanding).
- Or, complete 3-year UG from an institution accredited by either AACSB, EQUIS, or AMBA.
Submission of GMAT scores is compulsory for this program, however, students may submit a GRE score too in lieu of that.
Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test.
