Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- Students must have a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Nursing or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
- A grade point average of 7.0/9.0 (A- average) in the work of the last two years (30 units) leading to the bachelor’s degree.
- An advanced level (500 or higher) university statistics course is required prior to beginning the PhD program in September.
Indian Student Eligibility:
- Students must complete a bachelor’s and master's degree in Nursing or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
- The minimum grade score for a degree should be 7/10 (60%), first class.
Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test.

- Official Transcripts: Applicants who have attended and/or received degrees from institutions outside the US must provide certified copies and certified English translations of transcripts or records of all previous post-secondary education and of all degrees conferred.
- Writing Sample: Sample of scholarly writing (e.g. a chapter of a thesis, published article, project paper). Submitted with the online application in digital form as a PDF.
- ELP Scores: Students have to submit their English language proficiency scores like IELTS, TOEFL, or other test scores.
