  • This Master’s program provides a rigorous foundation in economic theory and econometrics, supplemented by electives with an applied focus. 
  • A flexible MA program can be completed in a minimum of 12 months.
  • Students can explore any subfield of economics including: environmental, resource and climate change; labour economics, economics of indigenous people, development economics, finance and applied econometrics 
  • All students are required to defend their thesis or extended essay in a final oral examination. 

Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Academic Eligibility:

  • Students must have an undergraduate degree in economics or equivalent from a recognized institution.
  • A grade point average of 5.0/9.0 (B or equivalent) in the work of the last two years (30 units) leading to the bachelor’s degree.

Indian Student Eligibility:

  • Students must complete a Bachelor’s (4 years) degree in economics or equivalent from a recognized institution.
  • Or, students completed a master's degree with first-class in a relevant field from a recognized institution.
  • The minimum grade score for a degree should be 7/10 (60%), first class.

Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test.
