- PhD in Earth and Ocean Sciences at the University of Victoria is offered as a 4-years program by the School of Earth and Ocean Sciences.

- Students can study integrated multidisciplinary programs in geology, geophysics, oceanography, and atmosphere and climate sciences.
- In Earth and ocean sciences, students will receive a unique education that takes them out on field trips, field schools, and marine cruises.
- Students will also have the opportunity to study with faculty from the Canadian Centre for Climate Modelling and Analysis and the nearby Institute of Ocean Sciences and Geological Survey of Canada (Pacific).

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- Students must have a bachelor’s and master’s degree in science or engineering or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
- A grade point average of 5.0/9.0 (B average) in the work of the last two years (30 units) leading to the bachelor’s degree.
Indian Student Eligibility:
- Students must complete a bachelor’s and master's degree in science or engineering or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
- The minimum grade score for a degree should be 7/10 (60%), first class.
Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test.
