- Good food options, having chains like Tim Hortons pizza, etc on campus, making studying much easier.
Dislikes
- Stricter on policies such as plagiarism.
- Should be more leniency to international students, who are not aware of the academic regulations over there.
- Too many Indians as of now, making it Indian amity.
Colleges Where I Was Accepted
Reason for choosing my college
So education in Canada is mainly divided into colleges and universities, with universities having an added advantage over colleges. Colleges don't offer UG/PG degrees, just the diploma, which is not sufficient for a good job later.
Colleges Where I Was Rejected
Reason for Rejection
One of the challenges that I faced while applying for this university was my lack of knowledge in the selected field. Canadian Universities have a bar set for their educational standards. Students going for UG courses after their 12th grade would need to upskill themselves and match the level of a 12th-grade Canadian high school student to stand a chance of passing out from the university.

Tips to enhance your application
i have shared a sample of what got me in, you can refer to it. it should be authentic, shouldn't be text generated on chatgpt. should have a seal and stamp from the respective school/professors.
Admission Experience
- At my time, the university had a good academic reputation and a good standard set for academics.
- I chose Canada as it's relatively cheaper than the USA. Otherwise, the USA is surely a better choice any day.
- Student life is great as long as you can cook your meals and are emotionally strong enough to withstand homesickness and other such factors.
- The campus is amazing, providing numerous extra circular activities to keep you going throughout the week.
Class Schedule
- 4-5 classes a week, depending on your major subjects and electives. Apart from regular classes, depending on your field of study, you need to put in at least 6-8 hours a week to have a good standing.
- Class timings vary; we don't have a specific school time like in India.
Faculty
Faculties are approachable and surely help you out when needed majorly in clearing doubts about an assignment or so. Also, if a student does good, and has a good repo in front of their respected faculty, then they will surely consider them for positions, like TA.
Campus Life
- 1 campus throughout the St Catharines region is pretty big and has everything from library support to medical.
- There are several clubs, ranging from international clubs to sports clubs. Busu is a student council responsible for fests and handling of clubs.
Part Time Jobs
- Avg pay is around 16-18$ an hour.
- Indian students mostly work at restaurants or stores, owned by Indians.
- Job vacancies also depend on the time of the year, summer has more opportunities since local people stop working and relax.
- Max hours of work can be changed. At my time it used to be 20 hrs a week.
- Getting an on-campus job is pretty easy than finding it outside, you just need to be aware of the positions and be in touch with people.
- TA roles are usually 10-15 per subject.
Placement
- Depending on the course, students get jobs. Computer science grads get a good-paying job within 6-8 months of graduation with a decent pay of $60k for whatever their skills are.
- Students can find jobs by attending job fairs, on LinkedIn, or through a possible reference.
Accommodation
Kijiji is a website used to find anything from rental houses to cars to PlayStations. Challenges are just being aware of ann fraudsters. I would recommend having a visit to a house before booking it.
