Required Exams for Admission

IELTS (8)

A life learning experience. This college teaches you time management. People here are from all over the world. So there’s diversity. I'm in my last semester and I think I would miss this college very much. It has some excellent professors who are established lawyers and judges. College has a swimming pool, gym, basketball court. It has a huge library. Recently Barrett family foundation donated 40million dollars to Humber college which would make its infrastructure and faculty more advanced.

Course Curriculum

8

This course has 3 semesters. It’s a very hectic and time consuming course. All subjects are relevant from a legal perspective. However, if you are planning to become a lawyer this can be a important step towards it. It will teach you the basics of Canadian law and also give you a Canadian legal experience through its compulsory internship program in the third semester.

Faculty

7

Faculty is varied. We have professors who go beyond teaching and help us in securing internships. There are professors who’s teaching style is very different from others. Specific mention should be our alternate dispute resolution professor. He conducts negotiation, arbitration simulations which would be engaging for every law student.

Campus Life

7

Campus is in the north of Toronto. It’s on the opposite side of city. It’s quiet and connected to nature. It has all the amenities. There’s a library section which is open 24 hrs 365 days which is a great thing. We have a students club named FYE (first year experience) which greets and makes new students comfortable. I was a part of this group and we made all first year students feel welcomed to the community by organizing various events and a successful orientation program. The other club in Humber college is « Ignite ». This club is independent and not funded or managed by Humber administration. This club fight for student rights.

Placement

8

Placement is pretty good with average salary of 38,400$. Many law firms hire graduates from Humber college. Firm I'm interning in which is preszler injury lawyers is a amazing law firm. All the other top firms and companies come to Humber college for hiring. A specific mention should be made to insurance companies like sun life insurance which regularly hires from Humber college. There are no research opportunities however there are jobs relating to teaching assistant and tutoring students.
