- My reason for choosing Humber is its reputation among other public colleges in Canada. It's known for its rigorous and practical coursework which is sure to make you job-ready upon graduation. Humber stresses upon top quality education and hence requires 100% commitment from student. It's lush green campus which is located by the lake Ontario is sure to make your time more enjoyable. "
Required Exams for Admission
Humber has exceeded my expectations in terms of everything. I'm more than satisfied with the curriculum, the faculty, the infrastructure and the extra-curricular activities. Because of its high education standards, it definitely requires students to work harder than ever and stay at the top of their game.
Faculty
The faculty at Humber is qualified and does their job well. The teaching methodology is really effective and interactive. The best part is that most professors have been professionals in the same industry so they bring years of knowledge and experience of the corporate world or the area of work one is interested in.
Campus Life
Humber's Campus life is extremely vibrant and lively in terms of the infrastructure, the facilities and the events that go on. It's located only 45 minutes from downtown Toronto and right by lake Ontario. It's easily one of the most beautiful campus' out there. In terms of student events and extra-curricular activities, Humber never disappoints. They have multiple events happening every week, all of which provide a great platform to socialize and network. And there's free food as well.
Placement
Most Canadian colleges don't have campus placements like Indian colleges and universities do. College provides with enough skills and knowledge to make one job-ready. They do help students with networking, creating resumes, applying, training for interviews etc. Upon graduation, Humber students get placed in organizations such as Walmart, Bell, Air Canada, CIBC, Scotia Banks, all of which are well known organizations in Canada.
Accommodation
The student accommodation is definitely more expensive than off-campus accommodation which is why most students opt for it. The rent on sharing basis can range anywhere between 450-700 CAD depending on one's lifestyle and requirements. The average rent per person would be 500 CAD since the college in located in a relatively expensive area.
Exams
Humber College only asked for the previous academic transcripts and IELTS Score. My score: IELTS 8 Listening 8.5 Reading 8 Writing 7 Speaking 8 I submitted an SOP clearing stating my educational and professional background, my reason for choosing Canada, my course, and my college. Additionally, I submitted by CV mentioning all the relevant experience. It's important to have a clear idea of the rationale behind choosing a particular course and college. You should be able to justify your choices in the application and clarify that you wish to return to your home country.
Fees
The total tuition fees for this program is Canadian Dollar $18,058.00 (11,01,538 Rupees).
