  • In this eight-month graduate certificate program, students will learn about the advances in project management taking place in the Information Technology (IT) industry. This program teaches an understanding of when to apply methodologies in the IT industry, including when each methodology is appropriate to use.
  • This program will also refine their project management skills by providing enhanced awareness of IT projects, programs, and policies in two consecutive semesters. This program offers an optional work term for students to gain practical experience in the IT sector prior to graduation.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Admission Requirements

  • Ontario university or college degree, or three-year college diploma or equivalent in software development or IT administration.
  • Applicants with a degree or diploma in IT administration, business, or liberal arts with two years of IT-related work experience will be considered for admission. A relevant resumé and references must be provided.

English Language Requirements

All applicants to Seneca must be well prepared to study in English. If you are coming from a country where English is not the primary language, you must show one of the following:

  1. Successful completion of a minimum of two years of full-time study in a school and country where English is the primary language
  2. Successful completion of a minimum of one year of full-time study at the postsecondary level in an institution and country where English is the primary language
  3. Successful completion of an intensive English program such as the English Language Institute
  4. English proficiency test scores from one of the international English language testing bodies are listed below. Only tests taken in the last two years are considered valid
  • IELTS Academic - Minimum 6.0 with no skill below 5.5
  • PTE Academic - Minimum score 58
  • TOEFL iBT (including MyBest TOEFL and Home Edition) - Minimum 80 with no skill below 20
  • Duolingo - Minimum score 105 to 110
  • Cambridge English Exams (B2 First/FCE, C1 Advanced/CAE, or C2 Proficiency/CPE) - Minimum 169 with no skill below 162
