Diploma [Mechanical Technician - CNC and Precision Machining] From George Brown College

Academic Eligibility:

• Students have completed an Ontario Secondary School diploma or equivalent degree.
• Students must complete Grade 12 English (C or U) with 60% or higher.
• Students also have to complete a Grade 11 Math (M or U) or Grade 12 (C or U) with 60% or higher.

Indian Student Eligibility:

Indian students are eligible to apply if they meet one of the following eligibility criteria

• Students must be graduated from senior secondary school.
• Students have a minimum overall of 60% in 10th and 12th Grade for all streams.

• Students also have a minimum overall of 50% in English and Maths in 10th and 12th Grade.

Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/PTE/any equivalent test to get admission to this program.

Carrer:

Students may find employment in areas such as aerospace, nuclear, transit and OEM automotive parts companies, health care, construction and building industries, electrical and electronics industries, mould-making, tool & die making, general machining, CNC precision machining and tool-making industries, research, and prototyping and development of new and existing products.

Industry:

The tooling industry will continue to be the backbone for production, manufacturing, and prototyping in industrial sectors such as:

• aerospace/aeronautics
• medical
• military
• pharmaceutical
• transportation/automotive
• agricultural, mining, nuclear as well as emerging energy industries (solar, wind)
