- The Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Douglas College is offered as 3 years or 6-term teaching program.
- It is an on-campus program offered on a full-time basis only.
- Students have to successfully complete 124 credits.
- The conceptual framework of the program is based on the concepts of relational practice, critical inquiry, leadership, ethics of care, health promotion, and inter-professional collaboration.
- This degree program is designed to give students the knowledge and experience for safe, compassionate, evidence-based, competent, and ethical nursing practice.
- The courses are taught at the David Lam Campus located in Coquitlam. All courses and learning experiences are critical to student success.
- To be eligible for admission to the Nursing program, students must complete the following courses as part of their 30-credit Certificate in Academic Foundations, with a minimum grade of C+ (65%).
- The courses required to advance into the 2nd year of the Nursing program are in very high demand and fill quickly.
- Students are encouraged to plan a second-choice academic program or path in the event that seats are not available in the required Nursing eligibility courses.
- Students must be able to attend clinical practicums which can occur any day of the week (including weekends). The shifts can be 8 or 12 hours long and may start as early as 6:30 am.
- Graduates of the Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program are prepared to practice nursing in a variety of settings, including acute care (general and selected specialized areas), intermediate care, long-term care, and community care.

- Letter of Recommendation - This shows who recommended the student to pursue the degree.
- Statement of Purpose - This is an essay or any written statement written by the student while applying.
- College Transcripts - The marks statement provided by the education board after completion of the previous academic qualifications.
- Health Assessment - A satisfactory health assessment completed by a physician or nurse practitioner.
- Immunization Record - A current record of recommended immunizations consistent with the requirements of practice
- Criminal Record Check - Details will be provided at the time the students are offered admission to the program.
- Non-violent Crisis Intervention Certificate.
- Students have to submit English Language requirement scores like TOEFL, IELTS, etc.
