- This two-year Ontario College Diploma program provides students interested in pursuing a career in the aircraft maintenance industry with the necessary knowledge and skills.
- Recent growth in the aviation sector combined with higher than usual retirement rates have prompted many employers and manufacturers to revise hiring projections and are predicting a shortage of skilled and licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineers (AMEs).
- Through a series of classroom-based courses and extensive practical labs, students maintain and repair electrical and mechanical systems within an aircraft including hydraulic, fuel, environmental, engine, control surfaces and undercarriage and the aircraft`s frame and external skin. Central focus is on aircraft maintenance practices and procedures, as well as aviation regulation requirements.
