  • Being a topper and a bright student always, I still had difficulty in catching up in the first year of the course and even after that, it wasn't a walk in the park. You always had to be on your toes to perform even averagely. It was a mix of both.
  • Most positive aspect is that it has taught me to stay resilient and always be on top of things if I don't want to be left behind. Negative aspect of my course can be the fact that it didn't teach me versatility.
  • It was usually 8-9 classes of typically 1 or 2 hours spread out throughout the week.
  • In lectures, there were approximately 400 students in a class and in "tutorials," there were approximately 10-15 students in a class.
  • I think approximately 20% of my class must be indian students in my class.

Fees

  • It was approx. AUD 5500 per subject with a total of 30 subjects through a 3-year course.
  • It was charged on a credit-based, semester-wise basis, i.e., fees would be charged in advance for the number of subjects/credits one is doing in a particular semester.
  • Approximately 2000 AUD was my monthly expense
    • Rent – 1000 AUD
    • Groceries – 300 AUD
    • Transportation – 100 AUD
    • Networking events/uni parties – 200 AUD
    • Other Misc. Expenses – 200 AUD

The structure is well layed. We study seven core subjects and a few breadth subjects that helps us deepen our knowledge in the core of accounting, finance, marketing, management, commerce etc.

It is ranked highly in the world for commerce and mainly economics. It is in the top 15 for accounting and finance.

It is okay. I like the option of selecting breadth subjects that are away from the discipline i have chosen. on the other hand i feel the structure of assessment could vary with other ways of getting real world exposure. E.g adding an extra year for internship

Top university in Australia , ranked high for commerce degree

The course is in line with professional accreditations such as CPA Australia, the CAANZ and the CFA.

The prospects of studying and living in a developed country like Australia is definitely attractive. A number of factors encouraged my decision, namely education quality whereby the University of Melbourne is ranked among the best, job availability in reputed companies, foreign work experience and good social life.

It is interesting and good. I like the subjects I am doing. Though, I believe in the online studies I don't feel much engaged in the classes.

Because it is one of the best business schools in the world.

Updated but no real experience to test knowledge. Relevant to the times in terms of examples and generally comprehensive

Best in Australia as per rankings by multiple boards, and in a preferred location

In my University, they give full exposure to the real industry. There are several programs run by the University or the Faculty which helps all the students to develop essential skills and learn/grow through those experiences. There are also vast number of clubs/societies which are run by students and it enhances university experience by providing networking opportunities and making lifetime friends.
