- UQ UNION: a society of the university that is run by the students, which puts out lots of events
- UQ Science Leaders: An opportunity for science students at UQ to become mentors or tutors for the high school or undergrad students
- No Racial discrimination in and around the campus
Dislikes
- The tuition fees is heavy, as it keeps increasing every semester
- Part time job opportunities inside campus is pretty competitive for international students
Online platforms, such as flat mates, Facebook marketplace delayed in getting proper accommodation. Shared houses are often hard to decide. It is always good to have a look at hive and flat mates rather than student accommodations as unilodge or scape.

Course structure is on point as they offer multiple courses as electives, simulation softwares for some live projects, business articles, access to world class library, and high research standards with regards to thesis. Some courses definitely need the transition, otherwise the course structure is relevant to the current day.

The course is aligned to the latest industry curriculum. It offers good mix of studies and since there are only 4 courses per term, you have ample time to study and work part time and take up internship to apply the concepts learnt. I took up 4 internships during the 2 year period to augment my studies. I also worked part time to have some side income.There were also some industry courses which lets you work in a firm of your choice and detail your experiences through a reflective journal.
