This specialisation aims to:

• provide students with the opportunity to examine research principles and methods and to apply those principles and methods in the evaluation and design of research into current educational issues
• combine the study of research design and methods, evaluation and assessment with a principal focus on key contemporary educational policy issues
• enable graduates to use quantitative, qualitative and mixed-method research designs in educational policy research and program evaluation.
