What Students Say
Likes
- It covers theoretical and also practical aspect which is great.
Dislikes
- Extra curricular activities , I wish we had more events happening in the university and I think that covers campus life as well.
Course Curriculum
- So in counselling we have less concentration on research when compared to Psychology, we will have placemets as part of curriculum in 2nd year and I guess the total students in the course is more than 80.
Admission Experience
- Very less universities in Australia has my course and I did wish I got into University of Adelaide, but iam happy where I am, because the course in WSU covers theoretical and also practical aspect of counselling.
- We didn't any GRE for the course, but I think the basic requirements for IELTS is 7 in every skill.
Faculty
- So, i can't be exact here because we have lectures, tutorials and workshops and no. of people in each of these are different.
Campus Life
- Like i said, i wish we had more events happening in the university.
Part Time Jobs
- Just like anywhere getting a part-time job on campus is extremely competitive in the university. You have hundreds of people applying for it so you will have to make sure you stand out to even be considered for the interview. References work a long way in Australia.
Placement
- I would say this is subjective, some say we have plenty of opportunities, but i have met very less no. of people saying it would be difficult to get a job after the course. There is less emphasis on the grade and university you graduate from in Australia.
Accommodation
- I dont stay in University accommodation, but I pay 150 AUD per week in shared room with another guy in a moderate house.
Exams
- For the course i am enrolled in we only need IELTS or any other English language test.
- Documents required : SOP and LOR are required along with good CV.
- They conduct a group interview and give you an assignment to pass to get into the course..
Fees
- Total of 67,900 AUD excluding scholarship and approx. 4100 per 10 credits.
