My overall experience has been fun, enlightening and has contributed to my personal and professional growth. I have learnt how to manage my time, priorities and even my social life with the amount of freedom I have. Study is hard, but once you've learnt how to crack assignments and tutorial work, exams become easy tasks whether they are held online or offline. I have made many connections over the years and have also been a part of many student clubs and societies. I have also maintained good relationships with some of my professors and tutors whom I take advice from, from time to time.

Course Curriculum

8

The course curriculum updates every semester and assignments are relevant to current world scenarios. Most assignments require heavy research and critical thinking. Industrial exposure can be obtained through many programs offered by the university such as the Melbourne Employability Accelerator.

Exams

My scores: IELTS 7, CBSE 12th Grade 87% minimum scores: IELTS 6.5, CBSE 12th Grade 82%. I had to submit and SOP and CV for mostly my VISA application. One of the important points that needs to be mentioned is the intent of how long does one want to stay in Australia and what their aspiring career path is.

Placement

8

Placement process does not exists. Although most students get their graduate jobs through internships done before or through networking. Some even gain help from the university to improve the resume and interview skills and then go on to applying for jobs separately. Company fairs take place at least 2-3 times per semester where students can meet employees from different companies in their field of study and build connections.

Internship

I have not yet opted for any internship.

Fees

For international students studying Bachelor of Commerce, the average fee is $175,000 AUD for the whole course and approximately $5500 AUD for each unit on an average.

Faculty

8

Not quite sure of faculty to student ratio as it changes every semester and also depends on what subjects are available for that semester. The faculty and staff are well versed in their subjects and even reply to student queries and emails during the weekends some time.

Campus Life

Campus life is always happening. There are over a hundred clubs and societies and much more activities provided by the student union. The city campus is huge with dedicated building for each faculty and large library with private spaces for self and group study. the sports complex also includes a gym, pool and playing court for all kinds of sports.

Hostel

7

Accommodations for students are available in abundance all around the campus. Students can choose to stay individually or in a shared apartment. The average cost of rent per month including utility bill, excluding external costs such as food and outings, is around $2400 AUD.
