What Students Say
Dislikes
- Lack of affordable housing, too many students who won't speak English. Male sure you find a good group early on.
Course Curriculum
- Updates every semester, NLP subject in masters changes dramatically every year
- Also Yes, IT project in undergrad plus optional inter shop subjects
- About 3-4 hours, times are in your control
- Lectures: varies greatly, can be 1000 or 50. tutorials about 20
Admission Experience
- Chosen as it has a high research output and moving forward fast in ai/ml - also liked percieved prestige and it helped landing jobs.
- Mine: Cbse 90s, conditional offer said 80+ for undergrad would let me in.
Faculty
- Shaanan cohney, olya orhimenko, andrew cullen, alistair moffat, sarita rosenstock, few of my Favourites.
Campus Life
- Clubs available online. Several libraries and research facilities, but libraries are almost always full.
Part Time Jobs
- Too vague a question. It varies too much based on who you talk to. I know people who made 50/hr working part time in tech and people who made below minimum wage working in a grocery store.
- Tutor/TA positions are generally given to masters ajd pgd students, each subject has only 4/5.
Placement
- I do not know the answers to this questions. Jobs after graduation are self sourced.
Accommodation
- Facebook marketplace. Do not go for campus housing, it is more than triple apartment cost.
Exams
- CBSE and IELTS, cv, statement of purpose, and high school counselor recommendation.
Fees
- The correct information is Available online, look up "unimelb handbook fees" as for the subject wise breakdown.
