Charles Sturt University Acceptance Rate for Indian Students
Charles Sturt University does not publish an official institutional acceptance rate. Third-party trackers estimate it at 60 to 70 percent, based on CSU’s regional-university mandate and the high share of programs that operate as admit-on-merit cohorts.
Charles Sturt University Course Competitiveness
Acceptance varies sharply by course. Bachelor of Dental Science and clinical health programs run highly selective intakes (sub-25 percent admit rates for international cohorts). General business, IT, and arts bachelors sit in the 70 to 85 percent range. Postgraduate coursework intake at the Sydney study centre typically clears 60 to 75 percent of qualifying Indian applications.
Charles Sturt University Outcomes for Indian Applicants
Indian acceptance rates track the institutional figure when files carry verified IELTS, certified transcripts, and a coherent SOP. Soft files (no MOI proof, IELTS gaps, or unexplained year-gaps) skew rejection rates higher. CSU’s institutional ranking band sits outside the Group of Eight zone, which keeps headline competition modest compared to Go8 peers.
Reality check: CSU’s open-entry framing does not mean automatic admission. Clinical, nursing, and dental programs run AHPRA-aligned cut-offs that filter sharply on grades, English, and prerequisite subjects.
Charles Sturt University admissions reward early, document-clean applications: a verified IELTS or MOI waiver, certified transcripts, and a coherent SOP. Target Session 1 (March 2027) for the primary-intake program list, and lodge your visa with the AUD 29,710 financial threshold met on day one.

- University Rating, affordable fee and Quality of education, advice from consultants and referral from friends who studies in CSU.
- All lectururers were supportive and always keen to help. Practice teaching techniques. Environment of university was very good. Had a wonderful experience during lectures. Assistance from student help team if any classes were missed and additional help during exams.
Dislikes
- Questions in assignments should be more on practicality than theoretical. Probably lecture slides should be much updated and informative rather than few headings and bullet points. It would be much easier and helpful if they are like a mini text book than a Index book.
Overview
Experience was good. Only few points such as updating lecture slides, providing opportunities with internships would have been helpful.
Overview
The University has a good schedule for the subjects. It is one of the best colleges in Australia.
Scholarship
I got the Scholarship for about $3274 for paying one year tuition fees at a time
Overview
It’s a brilliant University, however, the course is definitely community orientated which is where I want to venture my future profession. The course includes areas such as psychology, policing, politics, emergency management, sociology and indigenous subjects. It’s a thrill to be apart of and this subject will set me up for my future profession.
Scholarship
Yes, it was easy just applied online with the university’s website, it allows you to narrow all of the scholarships down to the one that suits you the most.
Overview
I chose this tertiary institution as it was local to my rural home town meaning I didn't need to move away. The small scale of the institution also appealed to me, as I believed it would be less overwhelming than a larger uni. I applied through UAC while completing my year 12 VCE studies. I got accepted with a lower star mark than the expected entrance level. The application fee was included when applying through VTAC and covered all uni applications, including different institutions. I applied for multiple universities, and alongside this applied for two courses at the Charles sturt University.
Overview
Nice one and learn more new things we can get more placements and it is a friend to nature and we grasp new things that would be useful for us. And also a nice staff who teaches and supports in every aspect.
