The Sitaram Jindal Foundation provides merit cum Sitaram Jindal Scholarships to students belonging to Bangalore. The main aim of this scholarship is to give financial support to the meritorious students belonging to underprivileged families to help in covering up their studies. Students who are studying in Class 11th to any of the postgraduate courses are eligible for the Sitaram scholarship. Polytechnic and Diploma candidates of technical education can also avail this scholarship. 

Students can apply for this scholarship through both online as well as offline methods. They can download the scholarship application on the official website. The amount given under this scholarship is approximately INR 2,500 per month. Sitaram Jindal Foundation: Eligibility for the Scholarship

Students need to fulfill certain eligibility criteria such as marks secured in the previous exam, family income, courses and many more in order to be eligible for the Sitaram Jindal Scholarships. Students must have been studying in class 11th to postgraduate and should not exceed the age limit of 30.

Category A
  • Students must be in either Class 11th or 12th.
  • Male students must have scored at least 65% marks in their last qualifying examination whereas female students need a minimum of 60% marks.
  • Students who are from Karnataka then, females must have a score of 70% marks whereas the male students need at least 75% marks.
  • For West Bengal students, male candidates require a score of 70% marks or more whereas the female candidates need 65% marks.
  • Must be below the age of 30.
  • For employed families, the annual family income should not be more than INR 4 Lakhs and for others it may not exceed INR 2.5 Lakhs.
Category B
  • Students must be studying in any ITI course from any recognised private or government institute.
  • Male students need a score of at least 50% marks whereas female students need at least 40% marks in the last qualifying examination.
  • For students belonging to employed families, the annual family income should not be more than INR 4 Lakhs and for others it may not exceed INR 2.5 Lakhs.
Category C 
  • Students must be studying in any Graduate course in the field of agriculture, science etc.
  • Male candidates should have scored at least 60% marks whereas the female candidates have at least 55% in the last qualifying examination.
  • For Karnataka students, the score needed for boys is at least 70% and 65% for girls to be eligible.
  • West Bengal candidates need to score a minimum of 65% for boys and at least 60% for girls.
  • For employed families, the annual family income should not be more than INR 4 Lakhs and for others it may not exceed INR 2.5 Lakhs.
Category C
  • Students must be in any Postgraduate course in any specialization of agriculture, hospitality, etc.
  • Male candidates should have scored at least 65% and female candidates need at least 60% marks in their last qualifying examination.
  • For Karnataka students, the score needed for boys is at least 70% and 65% for girls to be eligible.
  • For students belonging to employed families, the annual family income should not be more than INR 4 Lakhs and for others it may not exceed INR 2.5 Lakhs.
Category D
  • Students must be studying in a Diploma course in any field of agriculture, science , nursing, pharmacy, etc.
  • Male candidates should have scored at least 60% and female candidates need at least 55% marks in their last qualifying examination.
  • They should not have attained the age limit of 30 years.
Category E
  • Students who are studying in any Graduate or Postgraduate course in the field of engineering or medicine are eligible.
  • MDS students are not eligible.
  • Male candidates should have scored at least 70% and female candidates need at least 65% marks in their last qualifying examination.
  • For students belonging to employed families, the annual family income should not be more than INR 4 Lakhs and for others it may not exceed INR 2.5 Lakhs.

Note:

  • Students who are physically challenged or handicapped, the minimum passing marks required for them should be less than or a relaxation of 5%.

  • Students must visit the official website of Sitaram Jindal Scholarship: sitaramjindalfoundation.org
  • A homepage will be open, click on the 'Apply for Scholarship' button in the right menu.
  • Click on the Application form or Annexure. A PDF form will be open in your tab. Download the scholarship application form and take a printout of it.
  • Fill up the application form carefully with all the required details such as Name, Date of Birth, Category, Course, Nationality, Address, Father’s name, etc
  • Recheck the scholarship form and send it to the following address

Documents required for the scholarship 

Candidates who are applying for the scholarship will need to attach the following documents in their application form are given below:

  • Passport size photograph
  • Copy of your marks sheet of the last qualifying examination
  • Copy of the marksheet of SSLC/ HSC
  • Copy of your BPL card and income certificate proof for PUC/ ITI students
  • Copy of income certificate for students of Graduate/ Postgraduate/ Diploma/ Engineering/ Medicine courses
  • Certificate regarding annual fees paid
  • Declaration showing that you are not getting scholarship from any other source
  • A valid Government merit quota certificate of admissions
  • A Certificate from the warden or accommodation owners regarding your stay
  • Students of physically handicapped need to submit the certificate of their physical disability from the concerned authority
