Nabanna Scholarship is an initiative of the Government of West Bengal to offer financial assistance to economically weaker students. The scholarship is also known as West Bengal Chief Minister Relief Fund (WBCMO). The scholarship is offered to students undergoing Higher Secondary Education (10+2), Graduation, and Post-Graduation. The Scholarship is offered every year to all the eligible students. Students are entitled to get INR 10,000 annually as financial assistance. This scholarship can work as an aid to students who are not able to study further due to financial problems and this scholarship form does not have any last date i.e., the forms are available throughout the year, a student can apply to this scholarship any time.

Nabanna Scholarship Eligibility
Candidates applying for Nabanna Scholarship should meet the following conditions in order to avoid rejection in the application.
- The applicant should be a domiciled person of West Bengal.
- Family Annual Income should be less than or equal to INR 60,000.
- Candidates should have passed the last qualifying exam from a recognized board/university from West Bengal.
- Applicant must be pursuing study from West Bengal affiliated college/course.
- Students wanting scholarships for 10+2 studies should have scored 65% in their Secondary/ Madhyamik Examination.
- Students pursuing graduation should have scored 60% aggregate in the 10+2 examination
- Students pursuing Post-Graduation should have scored 55% in Graduation.
- Candidates availing of scholarships other than Nabanna Scholarships (like Central sponsored Scholarship, Other state scholarships) are not eligible.

Nabanna Scholarship: How to Apply?
The mode of application of the Nabanna scholarship is an offline process. There is no announcement of starting of the application process for the scholarship as the scholarship can be applied throughout the year. Step by step guide to apply for the scholarship is given below:
- Students will have to visit the WBCMO official website and click on the donations tab.
- Download the three-page Chief Minister Relief Fund Scholarship Application form.
- Download and print the application form.
- Fill in all the details asked and with careful consideration.
- Attach all the documents asked along with the application form.
- Enclosed are all the documents and the application form in an envelope.
- Send the envelope at the following address: Nabanna, 14th Floor, 325 Sarat Chatterjee Road, Shibpur, Howrah- 711 102.
Documents Required
- Marksheets and Passing Certificates of all the previous exams passed.
- Monthly Family Income Certificate issued by DM/ SDO/ BDO / Group-A Govt. Officer not below the rank of Joint B.D.O./ Executive Officer in case of Municipality / Deputy Commissioner of Corporation
- Recommendation letter of an MLA or MP to the Chief Minister indicating the family income of the family. family income of the family.
- Bank Account details in whose account the scholarship will be credited. Details should include IFSC Code, Branch Code, Branch Name, Account Number, Bank Name. attach a photocopy of the bank passbook.
- Proof of residence.
- Domicile Certificate.
- Tuition fee/admission fee payslip.
- Allotment Letter along with the Rank Card of the selection committee (only for Engineering and Medical Students).
