Chitkara University has partnered with Google Cloud to give more than 10,000 students and faculty members access to AI tools, cloud technologies, Google for Education Plus, and Gemini Enterprise. The program is called Digital Campus on Google Cloud 4.0. It is one way the university is bringing AI into how students study, do research, and work on campus.

Chitkara University Partners with Google Cloud for AI-Enabled Digital Campus

AI is no longer only for engineering or computer science students. It is changing how businesses work, how doctors make decisions, how media companies operate, how designers create things, and how laws are understood. Students across every discipline are going to encounter it in their careers, whether they are prepared for it or not. Chitkara University is trying to make sure its students are prepared.

Through Digital Campus on Google Cloud 4.0, students and faculty will get access to learning pathways in Agentic AI and Generative AI, cloud computing labs, industry certifications, hackathons, innovation challenges, and programmes for faculty development. These are not just tools sitting on a platform. They are meant to give students hands-on experience with the kind of technology they will be expected to understand and use when they enter the workforce.

The partnership with Google Cloud goes beyond giving students access to software. It is an attempt to build an environment where students across all programmes, whether they are studying engineering, business, law, design, health sciences, or media, can see how AI is being used in their field and start building the skills to work with it. The university wants its graduates to not just use these technologies but to understand what they mean for society and industry at large.

The achievement was celebrated when Dr. Madhu Chitkara, President and Co-Founder of Chitkara University, received an award from Vaibhav Srivastava of Google Cloud for the university’s efforts to promote AI-based education.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Madhu Chitkara said that AI is transforming every sector of the economy and that higher education must move at the same pace. She said that working with Google Cloud helps bring AI into education, giving students and teachers access to useful tools, learning opportunities, and industry-recognised certificates.

India is going through one of the largest education and digital transformation journeys in the world right now. Companies are adopting AI, automation, and cloud technologies at a pace that is outrunning the supply of people who understand how to work with them. Universities that move early to close that gap are doing something that matters, not just for their own students, but for the workforce that industries across the country are depending on.

For students and parents looking at universities, an initiative like this is worth understanding. It is one thing for a university to add an AI course to its curriculum. It is another to partner with Google Cloud, give thousands of students and faculty members access to tools being used in the industry right now, and build a campus environment where AI is part of how learning happens every day. What Chitkara University is doing with Digital Campus on Google Cloud 4.0 gives a clear picture of the direction the university is heading in, and for a student thinking about where to study, that direction matters.
