In a strong step towards enhancing academic quality and research-driven teaching, CIMAGE Group of Institutions, Patna successfully organized a 5-day Faculty Development Program (FDP) on campus. The program brought together renowned academicians and researchers from prestigious institutions like IIMs, IMI, and IILM, creating a rich learning environment for faculty members.

Throughout the five days, participants received in-depth training on Multi-Criteria Decision Making, Case Teaching, and Case Writing Methodology.

The program witnessed the presence of eminent personalities from the academic world. Prof. Bhimaraya Metri, Director of IIM Nagpur and Member of the Ministry of Education (former Director of IIM Trichy and MDI Gurgaon), joined as the Chief Guest. Alongside him, Dr. Ravi Jain, Vice Chancellor (Designate) of IILM University, Gurugram and former Director at Symbiosis institutes, attended as the Guest of Honour.

One of the major highlights of the FDP was the session by Prof. (Dr.) Rituparna Basu, an internationally recognized expert in case writing and Chairperson of the Business Case Research Centre at IMI Kolkata. She conducted an intensive workshop on case writing, sharing practical insights on how to develop impactful and globally relevant case studies.

Her work has been widely published by Harvard Business Publishing, and her sessions gave participants a clear understanding of how case studies can transform classroom learning into real world problem-solving experiences.

The program also featured Dr. Rohit Singh from IIM Kolkata, who trained participants on advanced research tools and methodologies. His sessions covered areas such as operations management, supply chain resilience, digital transformation, and sustainability—topics that are highly relevant in modern research.

Another key session was led by Dr. Sachin Modgil, Associate Professor at IMI Kolkata and among the top 2% researchers globally (as per Stanford-Elsevier rankings). He provided detailed insights into case writing methodology and high-impact research practices.
