Application Process 2023
Online method:
- Candidates must visit the following link: http://pmu.edu/UG_PG_Application.aspx in order to download the application form and the admission prospectus.
- Fill in the application form with complete details carefully.
- Choose to pay the application fee of Rs.600/- (Rs.500/- for SC/ST/PwD) through DD drawn in favour of “The registrar, PMIST” payable at Thanjavur or online.
- Submit the application form and keep the printed copy of the submitted application form.
Offline method:
- Candidates can obtain the prospectus and the application form by post along with a DD and a self-addressed envelope of Rs.40/- of size 28x13cm from the address given below. The envelope requesting application form may be super scribed "Request for Application Form for M.Phil./Ph.D. Admission"
- Send the completed application form to the address given below.

Eligibility Criteria 2023
- Candidates must have master’s degree in the relevant discipline according to the discipline they are willing to take admission in M.Phil.
Selection Process 2023
Selection of the candidates is done on the basis of entrance test conducted by the university and a personal interview.
Exam Pattern
The written examination conducted by PMIST carries a weightage of 40 marks whereas the personal interview is of 10 marks. Marks scored in previous academic programs are also considered.
