Academic Qualification

  • Academic Background: A high school diploma or equivalent for freshman applicants.
  • Major-Specific GPA Requirement: Minimum 2.00 overall GPA and 2.00 GPA in upper-division technical courses required for the major.
  • Academic Courses: Completion of 15 year-long academic courses including:
    • 2 years of History.
    • 4 years of English (composition and literature).
    • 3 years of Mathematics (including Algebra and Geometry).
    • 2 years of Science (Biology, Chemistry, or Physics).
    • 2 years of a Second Language.
    • 1 year of Visual & Performing Arts.
    • 1 additional course from any of the above categories.

 Exemptions for English Language Requirement

 Applicants may be exempt from providing English proficiency test scores if they have:

  • ACT Score: Achieved a score of 30 or higher on the ACT English Language Arts section.
  • SAT Score: Achieved a score of 680 or higher on the SAT Evidence-Based Reading and Writing section.
