Academic Qualification

  • Academic Background: Completion of A-G subject courses with a minimum GPA of 3.0 for California residents and 3.4 for non-residents.
  • Academic Courses: Completion of 15 year-long academic courses including:
    • 2 years of History.
    • 4 years of English (composition and literature).
    • 3 years of Mathematics (including Algebra and Geometry).
    • 2 years of Science (Biology, Chemistry, or Physics).
    • 2 years of a Second Language.
    • 1 year of Visual & Performing Arts.
    • 1 additional course from any of the above categories.
  • Additional Requirements:
    • Mathematics: Four years, including calculus.
    • Laboratory Science: At least three years, preferably including physics.
    • Academic Excellence: Sustained achievement, particularly in math and science courses.

English Language Requirement

  • TOEFL iBT: 80 (Preferred: 100).
  • IELTS: 6.5.

 Exemptions for English Language Requirement

 Applicants may be exempt from providing English proficiency test scores if they have:

  • U.S. High School Education: Completed at least 3 years of high school in the U.S. with English as the language of instruction.

  • SAT Score: Achieved a score of 680 or higher on the SAT Evidence-Based Reading and Writing section.
