Mechanical Engineer majors can expect to find job opportunities in many positions and industries including aerospace, architecture, oil and gas, and many others. Many students also continue their education in the engineering field at Baylor University and other institutions.
The Engineering program offers a unique study abroad opportunity known as the i5 Program (Immersion Into International Interdisciplinary Innovation). The i5 program develops students' science and technology insight as well as their business savvy and global cultural competence. These are accomplished through real-world business, engineering and computer science experiences. Students spend five weeks in China and earn six credit hours.
Baylor offers three residential housing options for students wishing to live in a community of students with similar interests. Among these is the Teal Residential College for Engineering and Computer Science located in the East Village residential area.
