- Completion of all College of Arts and Sciences requirements (including the Liberal Arts Core with courses from specific categories and a major in one of the listed content areas), combined with 37-40 credits of education courses (including methods and student teaching), for a total of 124-127 credits, are required. Some students may need to complete total program credits that are slightly greater than 124-127. In addition, completion of New York State testing and other certification requirements apply. - Students in the dual programs complete a program of study offered jointly by the College of Arts and Sciences and the School of Education: English education; mathematics education; science education (biology, chemistry, earth science, or physics); or social studies education. Students also complete the requirements for a College of Arts and Sciences major in the subject area.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- Students must have an official secondary school transcript to get admission.
- Students are required to maintain at least a 3.6 overall GPA.
Language Requirments:
- Students whose official language is not English are required to submit IELTS or TOEFL scores.
- Students are required to submit an SAT or ACT score to be considered for admission.
International students who currently or will hold a degree from an institution where English is the primary language of instruction, do not need to submit a TOEFL or IELTS score report.
