- The Brown University offers a B.Sc Biomedical Engineering program for a duration of 4 years.

- The undergraduate program in biomedical engineering is an independent concentration that is governed both by the Division of Biology and Medicine and the School of Engineering.
- Its undergraduate advising faculty are drawn exclusively from the School of Engineering in order to facilitate ABET accreditation, students can take courses from and do research with, faculty from engineering, the various departments of biology, and the Brown-affiliated hospitals in Rhode Island.
- Compared to other ABET-accredited programs across the nation Brown's is notably more flexible in keeping with the spirit of our open curriculum. Still, students must complete a challenging and fulfilling schedule as they master both fundamental biologies as well as the theory and practice of modern engineering.
