Knowledge of interpersonal communication and social processes are fundamental for social workers, counselors, and other social and human services professionals, who work to improve the lives of the individuals and communities.
Courses in the Relationship and Family Communication specialization can position students to begin a career or pursue an advanced degree (Masters or Ph.D.) in fields such as social work, family counseling or mediation.
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- SAT/ACT Scores (with writing) [not needed if graduated from high school two or more years before the dates the classes start at SEBS or if the applicant have finished secondary school and have received at least 12 college credits with final grades by the admissions application due date.]
- Completed application form
- $70 nonrefundable application fee
- Official high school transcript(s) with final grades for all coursework with a certified translation in English. In addition, students might be asked to provide translated syllabi or course descriptions for faculty evaluation once on campus.
- If applicable, official college transcript(s) for all colleges previously attended with a certified translation in English.
Indian Eligibility:
- Indian School Certificate, Intermediate Certificate, Higher School Certificate, Higher Secondary Certificate, All India Senior School Certificate, and Pre-University course: (awarded on completion of Standard XII)
- Qualifying English Proficiency Tests like TOFL, IELTS,PTE and MELAB
