Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Academic Eligibility:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. For international applicants, the degree must be at least equivalent to the US Baccalaureate degree. Typically, 16 years of schooling with four years of full-time study at the university level, culminating with the award of a first or second degree.
  • Cumulative grade point average of at least 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale)
  • Grade point average of at least 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) for accountancy prerequisites

Indian Eligibility:

Indian students are eligible to apply if they meet the following eligibility criteria:

  • A student is generally required to submit GMAT or GRE scores before the deadline.
  • Please note: Graduates of the Farmer School of Business Accountancy undergraduate program are no longer required to submit a GMAT score, though we do recommend it.
  • In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Miami is accepting the Duolingo English Test for the 2021-2022 application cycle as an alternative to the TOEFL, IELTS, or PTE test. Miami’s Duolingo English Test scores must include the subscores. If students took the test prior to July 15, 2019, they will need to retake the test.

Along with the minimum eligibility criteria, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries must submit proof of English proficiency. Students may provide score reports of TOEFL/IELTS/… or any equivalent test with at least a minimum score as per program guidelines to prove English proficiency.
