You’ll learn how to practice directly or in collaboration with other health professional to provide continuity of health care and to maximize the effectiveness of community and health care system services. You’ll also learn clinical judgment and primary care skills through faculty mentorship and clinical preceptors in a variety of ambulatory care settings and specialty clinics.

The Women's Health Nurse Practitioner role focuses on primary care for women. Primary care is first access to comprehensive care involving health promotion or disease prevention and nursing management of common acute and chronic conditions. You may work in medical centers, physician's offices, free clinics, Planned Parenthood clinics, administration, and education.

As a Women's Health NP student, we offer you:

  • Mentorship and advising from faculty that are active researchers in their field
  • Fall and spring semester start dates

The WHNP concentration at the master's level is a minimum of 42 credit hours, and can be completed in as little as two (2) years, or if part time, in three to three-and-a-half-years (3 - 3.5).
