- The graduate program in orthodontics prepares competent individuals to practice orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics.
- The programs' objectives are to provide students with an in-depth education in biological and biomechanical principles related to orthodontics, to teach students to diagnose, plan, and deliver comprehensive orthodontic health care service; and to develop students' research and service skills.
- Opportunities are available for research and independent study in the department, and there are special facilities for research in biomechanics and craniofacial growth.
- Interaction with other departments provides learning and research opportunities in surgical orthodontics, cleft lip and palate treatment, speech pathology, animal experimentation, and human growth.
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- Students must hold a bachelor's degree or equivalent degree in a related subject from a recognized university.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0 is required on a 4.0 scale to be eligible for the program.
Indian Eligibility:
Indian students are eligible to apply if they meet one of the following eligibility criteria:
- Students must complete a 4-year undergraduate degree with first class in a relevant field from a recognized institution
- Or, students completed a master's degree with first-class in a relevant field from a recognized institution.
Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test to get admission to this program.
