The Creative Writing concentration of the Butler English Department offers students the opportunity to receive extensive studio training in the many genres of the literary arts?poetry, fiction, creative nonfiction, screenwriting?and even to explore the fields of young adult novel writing, the graphic novel, and videogame narrative. The track focuses on workshops, small classes devoted to your work, and the work of your peers, giving you opportunities to discover and improve your voice, and graduate with a portfolio of your best work. After graduation, our Creative Writing English majors are working internationally in the field that they love: they are publishing novelists and poets, professors, professional writers and editors, and marketers and web designers.?
