The BA in English offers small class sizes, personal attention from faculty, opportunities to interact with nationally recognized writers, and opportunities to publish and to present papers at conferences and enter writing contests.
Students pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in English have a wide variety of minors from which to choose. English majors often minor in Creative Writing, Technical and Professional Writing, or American Studies, though many options are available to fit individual interests and career goals.
Courses offered cover such topics as American literature, British literature, world and multicultural literature, folklore, drama, literature and film, rhetoric, linguistics, composition, professional and technical writing, and creative writing.
