  • The Master of Science in Counseling Psychology can be completed in 2 years with an additional year in which students complete an internship.
  • The program helps in the development of personal qualities, understandings, and professional skills through learning about self, client, and counselor-client relationships.
  • Be part of a small cohort of graduate students to facilitate group interaction and learning.
  • Participate in small classes with an average student-to-faculty ratio of ten to one.
  • Complete a personal growth experience that includes individual therapy to gain a broader perspective of the counseling relationship through directly experiencing the role of the client.
  • Complete a year-long internship working in a mental health setting.
  • Join Psi Chi, the National Honor Society for psychology students, and be eligible for special scholarships, attend psychological conventions, and present papers at conventions.
  • Complete the Master of Counseling Psychology program in three years, two in-classroom study and one in an internship.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Academic Eligibility:

  • Students must have completed a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Students must include the following courses at the undergraduate level: Introduction/General PsychologyPsychological Statistics or Research Methods, Developmental Psychology (Child, Adolescent or Adult), Abnormal Psychology (Adult or Child, Elective in Psychology).
  • Students with a GPA less than 3.0 must submit GRE scores.
  • Submission of English Proficiency Test scores is required.

Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test to get admission to this program.
