In the programme delivered by University of South Carolina, you will be exposed to challenging coursework that will give you a solid foundation in all of the central areas of physics including Newtonian mechanics, electricity and magnetism, statistical physics and quantum mechanics. You will also have the opportunity to tailor the program to your own interests by choosing from specialized experimental courses or designing your own research program.

The important applied areas of nanotechnology and computational physics are increasingly popular. A new applied track for undergraduate physics majors, known as engineering physics, is an interdisciplinary program that meshes the science with engineering. This degree uniquely prepares you to compete successfully in the job market or to pursue graduate studies in either physics or engineering.
